More from Motoring

Volvo has established high standards of safety in the automobile industry since its inception. How does a company that didn’t even bother patenting its three-point safety belt contribute more?

Well, all the new Volvo cars coming out of dealerships will have an electronic speed limit of 180 kph. Additionally, the cars will also come with something Volvo calls the Care Key. This key lets you program additional restrictions for younger drivers or when you lend your car to someone.

We’re sure Volvo is aware that it could lose potential customers, but it is not going to back down from the pursuit of safety. As for us, we firmly believe that a lot of it still depends on the person behind the wheel. Let us know on our social media handles what you think of this move.
