Hyundai has fixed the Achilles heel of the i20 siblings: the head unit of the audio system. The top-spec Elite i20 and i20 Active will now get a 7-inch touchscreen head unit with sat-nav as standard. The navigation system also has voice guidance, and displays the video feed from the reversing camera, instead of the previous place in the rearview mirror.

The Elite i20 with the AVN upgrade, as Hyundai are calling it, is available on the Asta variant as an optional pack and retails at Rs 7.17 lakh for the petrol and Rs 8.28 lakh for the diesel. The i20 Active will have it on the SX variant, at Rs 7.92 lakh for the petrol and Rs 9.17 lakh for the diesel. All prices are ex-showroom, Delhi.

The i20 siblings thus go back to having the longest features list and delivering some of the best value, as has been the Hyundai norm for a while now.
