KTM’s fresh new offering in India — the Chicago Disc 271 — has been launched by Ninety One Cycles. KTM Bicycles and Ninety One Cycles have an exclusive partnership in India.

Well, what is the Chicago Disc 271 all about? As KTM claims, it is a ‘well-engineered MTB bike’ with TL (tubeless) Compatible Rims, a KTM Line Rizer 680-mm mountain biking handlebar and 27.5-inch tyres by Schwable. Of course, KTM also claims that on any terrain, all this will provide bikers with much-needed traction. Moreover, the bike will be available in three frame sizes, each weighing roughly 15 kg, to cater to the comfort of a wide audience. How much does it cost, then? You can buy the Chicago Disc 271 for Rs 63,000.

Both Ninety One and KTM have partnered to create a strong combination of two trailblazing brands that cater to both leisure and performance cycling. Through this collaboration, the companies seek to bring the best in design, ergonomics and innovation to the Indian bicycle sector. Well, let’s hope they do come up with more of these before we go broke paying for the skyrocketing fuel prices.
