Volvo Car India announced its first all-electric offering the XC40 Recharge to be officially launched on the Metaverse. The launch on the 26th of July will also witness the much-anticipated price announcement for the XC40 Recharge in India. With the virtual platform becoming such a popular trend, it seems only natural. This will also be the first time the Metaverse’s sunrise technology will be used in India for a car launch.

The Metaverse launch of the XC40 Recharge is expected to usher in a new era of digital connectivity. This will be achieved by offering a virtual 3D experience to the consumers. The Metaverse launch has been designed by the company Mindshare and its collaborative partners. Volvo had previously announced that the XC40 Recharge will be the first luxury EV to be assembled in India. It will further be joining the locally assembled portfolio of Volvo Cars in India.

‘Volvo is known for harnessing the power of technology in providing safer and hi-tech cars. Leveraging the capabilities of the Metaverse is just another example of Volvo Car using the latest technology from a vantage point in marketing. This is the first time in the history of the Indian auto industry that a new launch has been done on this platform. We are confident that the XC40 Recharge with its over 400km per charge range will be widely accepted by customers who are looking for an EV with all the safety and luxury features that Volvo Cars are synonymous with’ says Jyoti Malhotra, Managing Director of Volvo Car India
