More from Motoring

Tata Motors has made the Tata Nexon AMT more affordable with the inclusion of a mid-spec variant in the line up. The Tata Nexon XMA (where XM denotes the mid-spec variant) is launched at Rs 7.5 lakh for the petrol version and at Rs 8.53 for the diesel-engined model.

A 1.2-litre turbocharged petrol engine powers the former and a new 1.5-litre diesel does duty on the latter. In the XMA/XZA+ trims, both engines get a six-speed automated manual transmission. The unit offers the ability to switch gears manually, comes with three drive modes, and is loaded with features like crawl functionality, Smart Hill Assist, etc.

The newly launched XMA variant gets dual front airbags, ABS with EBD, a decent ground clearance of 209 mm, among other standard features seen on the manual-gearbox-equipped variant. The company has also included a new Ivory White paint for the roof to complement its much-appreciated design.
