The smallest car from Tata Motors, the Nano has gotten a refresh, a new 5-speed AMT option and a new price, making it more urban friendly than before. The new Nano Easy Shift AMT, priced at Rs 2.69 lakh for the XMA and Rs 2.89 lakh for the XTA, ex-showroom, Delhi offers a slew of new features, including a 5-speed automated manual transmission (AMT), developed in conjunction with Magneti Marelli is mated to the same 624cc, 37.7 bhp, twin-cylinder petrol motor. It offers a pretty impressive 21.9 kpl (under ARAI test conditions), while the manual is an even more impressive 23.6 kpl.

And for the first time the Nano comes with a rear hatch that opens to a decent 110-litre boot in the manual and 94 litres in the AMT. A re-hashed dashboard with storage areas, new colours and seat trim and features like Bluetooth Connectivity, CD, Radio, USB and Aux-In on the top variants as well as a multi-information display make their entry. Safetywise, the Nano now boasts of an anti-roll bar and revised crumple zone up front.

On the outside, the Nano gets a major update with new bumper and grille with fog surrounds and smoked headlamps, revised rear bumper and smaller changes make it look younger and fresher.
