Tata Motors launched the Tigor XM iCNG variant at a price point of Rs 7.40 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), which is cheaper than the Tigor XZ iCNG variant by Rs 50,000. Introduced earlier this year, the iCNG range of products has received a remarkable response in a short span of time. The iCNG technology by Tata Motors has been successful in promoting sales of the Tiago and Tigor in their respective segments. The Tiago iCNG and Tigor iCNG are the only Global NCAP 4-star rated CNG cars currently on sale in India.

The new variant is now the entry-level trim for the Tigor iCNG and will offer a host of safety and convenience features. It gets a Harman infotainment system with four speakers, power windows, central locking and rear parking sensors amongst others. Further, the new Tigor XM iCNG variant will be available in Opal White, Daytona Grey, Arizona Blue, and Deep Red colour options. The car also gets an ARAI-certified fuel efficiency of 26.49 km/kg.

Tata Tigor 2

‘The Tigor has been an extremely special product for us and the addition of the iCNG variant has propelled our momentum further in the segment. Currently, more than 75% of the customer bookings of the Tigor are coming from the iCNG variant which is a testament to the robust demand for this technology in the Tigor portfolio. With the growing popularity of the Tigor iCNG and in line with our New Forever brand philosophy, the new Tigor XM iCNG will help us cater to a new set of customers who have been wanting to experience our iCNG technology with an entry-level trim. I am confident that this addition will further bolster our growth in this segment and the CNG space,’ said Rajan Amba, Vice President, Sales, Marketing and Customer Care, Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles Ltd.
