Maruti Suzuki finally launched the BS6-compliant S-Cross with a 1.5-litre K-series petrol engine. The new engine makes 104 bhp and 14 kg-m of peak torque and is available with either a 4-speed automatic or a 5-speed manual. The S-Cross even has smart hybrid technology as seen on the Maruti Suzuki Ciaz.

Inside, the S-Cross comes with a new 7-inch SmartPlay Studio touchscreen infotainment system. With the SmartPlay Studio app, you can access curated online content through AHA radio and get live traffic updates among other cloud-based features. Of course, it also has Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity.

On the features front, the S-Cross still has LED projector headlights, cruise control, ABS with EBD and dual front airbags. The automatic variants will get hill hold assist in addition to these features. Most importantly, the S-Cross also takes into account new safety norms which include frontal offset crash, side-impact and pedestrian safety.

The new S-Cross is priced starting at Rs 8.39 lakh, ex-showroom, India for the base Sigma variant and goes all the way to Rs 12.39 lakh for the top of the line Alpha variant. Here is the detailed price list:
