It’s fairly difficult to please everyone at the same time, but with the lifestyle-orientated vehicles, carmakers are a bit lenient in terms of positioning. An SUV Coupe or Convertible might not be the first thing that springs to mind when you think of a Range Rover, but here we one. The Range Rover Evoque Convertible looks ready for an Indian arrival.

When it’s launched on March 27, it will also be the only SUV Convertible on the market. 4WD will be standard, and powering the vehicle will be, according to Land Rover India’s website, a 2-litre petrol engine that makes 237 bhp. And paired to a 9-speed automatic gearbox, it will help the Evoque boast a top speed 195 kph.

The Range Rover Evoque Convertible will be available in the HSE Dynamic trim only. The list of standard equipment will include 18-inch alloy wheels, InControl Touch Pro Navigation system, Meridian surround sound system, Adaptive LED headlamps, Approach and Puddle Lights, etc. And if wind buffeting worries you, the optional wind deflector will add to the front seat comfort. You’ll just need a place to stow your rear passengers though.

More details will be available closer to the launch.
