More from Motoring

Tata Power and MG Motor will be collaborating to install fast chargers at select MG dealerships across India. A memorandum of understanding (MoU) was signed by Tata Motors with MG Motor to undertake this project.

Tata Power is one of India’s largest power utility providers and they already have 180 50 kW DC fast charging stations in 19 different cities, with plans to increase that to a total of 700 EZ Charge stations by 2021. This partnership with MG will further expand on that.

The cool part about these EZ Charge stations is that they will be accessible to all EVs complying with the CCS/CHAdeMO charging standards and of course MG’s ZS EV owners too. So far MG Motor on its own has managed to set up 10 SuperFast 50 kW charging stations across its dealerships in Mumbai, New Delhi-NCR, Bengaluru, Ahmedabad and Hyderabad.

At this rate, we might one day be able to take a road-trip in an EV without worrying about range.
