Bucking current industry trends, Hyundai continues to offer a diesel engine in the Verna – a 1.5-litre U2 CRDi engine making 113 bhp and 25.5 kgm of torque paired to a manual and automatic gearbox. All engines are BS6 compliant, of course.

On the features front, the Verna gets a digital instrument cluster, front ventilated seats, wireless charging and sliding front armrest among others. The turbo variant gets sportier bits like the glossy black front grille, sporty rear bumpers, twin-tip muffler and front parking sensors as well.
