You can pre-book the upcoming Honda Amaze facelift online for Rs 5,000 or at the Honda dealership by paying Rs 21,000. Apart from this teaser, Honda hasn’t dropped any hints about it. But after seeing a few spy shots of it, we think its Platypus shaped nose will now have a little less chrome on the grille and come with a few more updates.

From the speculations running on the internet, the Amaze facelift will even feature LED headlights and fog lights, a change in the grille pattern and possibly a new set of alloys. Honda’s moving towards the tech side of things with the City, so there could be a possibility that the Amaze will also feature a few connected features. Apart from that, a few add ons like an updated infotainment system and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto would just be perfect.

Under the hood, it’s likely to feature the same powertrain options as seen on the current Amaze. If you pick the 1.5-litre diesel Amaze with a manual gearbox, then it produces 99 bhp and 20.3 kgm of torque. And if you ditch the manual and go in for the CVT, then the engine output comes down to 79 bhp and 16.3 kgm of torque. As for the 1.2-litre petrol engine, it makes 89 bhp and 16.31 kgm of torque and can be paired with either a 5-speed manual or a CVT ‘box.

More details about the Honda Amaze facelift will be out on the 18th of August, until then stay tuned for more updates. Oh, and if you haven’t checked out our last review on the Amaze, click here.
