Called the Datsun redi-GO Smart Drive Auto, the AMT-equipped version of Datsun’s entry-level hatchback has been launched in India. Touted as the most feature-rich car of its kind, the redi-GO Auto (let’s call it that to keep it simple) is only available in the 1-litre engined guise.
Along with the inclusion a new Bluetooth-enabled audio system (which are now available on other top grades, too), the redi-GO Auto also gets two driving modes. These (Dual-Driving and Rush Hour) modes vary the car’s driving characteristics. The former offers both automatic and manual gear shift options, while the latter is optimised for bumper-to-bumper traffic.
It’s available in five colours, gets all-black interior, central locking, and remote key as a part of the standard features. The car, deliveries of which begin today, is currently available at an introductory price of Rs 3,80,600, ex-showroom.
