Hyundai’s all-new Tucson facelift has finally been launched after its delay due to the pandemic. Even though it is only a mid-cycle update, it does bring significant upgrades. Cosmetically, the car now gets a much bigger cascading grille, new LED headlights with DRLs, tail-lights, redesigned bumpers and twin chrome exhaust tips.
Inside, you get an all-black cabin with leather on the dash. On the tech front, both driver and passenger now get power-adjustable seats. There’s also front parking sensors, tyre pressure monitoring system, wireless charging for cell phones, a panoramic sunroof and an electronic parking brake among other things. The new Tucson also gets its share of connected features with Hyundai’s BlueLink suite.
The Tucson is available with a choice of two powertrain options. First up is a 150 bhp and 19.6 kgm, 2.0-litre petrol engine, which is paired to a 6-speed auto gearbox. There’s also a 2.0-litre diesel engine which produces 182 bhp and 40.8 kgm, now paired to a new 8-speed auto ‘box. 4WD is available as an option on the top variant.
As for the price, the new Tucson starts at an introductory price of Rs 22.3 lakh for the base petrol variant, going up all the way to Rs 27.03 lakh for the diesel four-wheel drive top variant. All prices are ex-showroom, India.
