With a large display in Hall 3 of India Expo Mart, Hyundai Motor India Limited’s is certainly going to be one of most important exhibits at the Auto Expo 2018. The company has announced that a total of 15 cars will be presented at the event, and the area will divided in terms of zones. Throwing some light on the show line up, Hyundai’s latest announcement confirms the presence of Ioniq, Kona compact SUV, N sub-brand, and the existing line up of cars.

There will be nine of said zones, including Eco Friendly (IONIQ), Mobility (N), Robotics, KONA, Award, Sports (highlighting Hyundai’s involvement in sports in India), Kids (dedicated area for kids), Road Safety, and JAI HO (domestic line up in the country).

It must also be noted that the company also celebrates its 20th anniversary this year and its achievement as the country’s second largest carmaker (passenger cars) and ‘largest exporter since inception’. The Hyundai pavilion at the Expo, aptly called ‘Experience Hyundai’ will have a lot from its present, past, and future.

Come to think of which, isn’t it the perfect time to bring out a new, 2018 version of the Santro? Because while the announcement doesn’t say that yet, there have been camouflaged Hyundai test cars out in the open. The company acknowledges the increase in demand for such a car, and if reports are true, there’s a chance it might just make a presence at the Expo.

Regardless, there will be enough to keep the Indian enthusiast happy. The Kona for instance will be a crowd puller. It’s expected to further strengthen Hyundai’s efforts in the compact SUV space. And with distinct styling, it appears to be off to a good start. Initial reviews from markets abroad haven’t been too bad, and it will be interesting to see how the market responds to it here.

Hyundai India’s MD and CEO, Mr. YK KOO said, “Hyundai is celebrating 20 years of its production and sales in India. This year our theme for Auto Expo 2018 is ‘Experience Hyundai’ showcasing eco-friendly, mobility and connected technologies along with 15 trendsetter products. To create excitement and generate unique experiences for the visitors at Hyundai Pavilion in hall number 3, we have created 9 experiential zones.”
