Audi has lined up a number of interesting models for 2016, after Mercedes stormed its way to the top of the sales chart in 2015. One of them being the Audi A5 Sportback diesel, Audi’s four-door version of its A5 coupe, and competing against the Mercedes CLS 250 CDI. While we already have one A5 derivative on sale, the 328 bhp S5 Sportback, the A5 Sportback will come with a 2.0-litre diesel making about 187 bhp and Audi’s Quattro four-wheel drive system.
It would be interesting to see where Audi price’s the A5 Sportback diesel since the S5 is Rs 62.95 lakh while the 204 bhp CLS 250 Cdi comes for Rs 76.5 lakh, all prices being ex-showroom, Delhi. Considering it doesn’t make any sense to price it higher than the S5, the A5 Sportback then could be a compelling buy at 55 lakh.
