The full-fat Jaguar F-Pace SVR has been officially launched at Rs 1.51 crore (ex-showroom, India). This should excite you if you fancy big engines; the F-Pace SVR gets a 543-bhp 5.0-litre supercharged V8. Even with that massive engine, it can accelerate from 0-100 kph in 4 seconds. It gets all-wheel drive as standard and the engine uses a familiar 8-speed auto gearbox as seen on other Jags. Not only this but the transmission and dynamics system have also been tweaked by its engineers to make it a prolific performer on the road.

As far as the design is concerned, the F-Pace SVR isn’t all that different from the facelifted F-Pace. The only thing that you can find on the SVR variant is the SVR badging. If you have an eye for detail, you’ll notice that the SVR gets a sportier front bumper with enormous air-intakes, a sportier rear, a tweaked hood and larger alloys.

Inside, the story again isn’t all that different. It features an 11.4-inch touchscreen infotainment system running Jaguar’s Pivi Pro system that receives OTA updates. Plus, you’ll find SVR badges in abundance like on the steering wheel, headrest, and dashboard. In addition to this, you get 3D surround camera technology and cabin air ionisation.

Currently, it is far more affordable than other rivals in the segment like the Audi RS Q8, Mercedes-AMG GLE 63 S Coupe and the BMW X5 M Competition. Almost everyone in this segment is priced above the Rs 2-crore mark. The Jaguar might not be a stonker in terms of performance but isn’t all that bad on paper.
