The 1.0-litre turbo GDi petrol is obviously our favourite engine of the bunch. It’s a three-cylinder unit making 98 bhp and 17.5 kgm of torque. In something this light, the turbo-petrol engine absolutely shines. Prod the throttle and the engine delivers a smooth wave of torque that carries you forward with urgency. That feeling sure is addictive! And a 5-speed manual transmission with well-matched ratios puts power to the ground. To go with the sporty engine, the turbo pack-equipped Auras get all-black interiors with red contrast stitching on the seats, red inserts in the air conditioner vents and a very subtle ‘Turbo’ badge in the front grille. Those who know what to look for will stay out of the way of this pocket rocket!
