Yamaha India surely knows well how to keep its MotoGP fans happy. The bike maker has launched a new variant of its popular FZ 25 motorcycle, called the Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP Edition. It gets Yamaha MotoGP branding on the tank shrouds, fuel tank and side panels, accentuating Yamaha’s racing background. The MotoGP edition fetches a sticker price of Rs 1,36,800 (ex-showroom, Delhi), which is only Rs 2000 over the standard variant.

Mechanically, the motorcycle remains the same. Powering it is a BS6-compliant 249cc air-cooled motor that produces 20.5bhp of max power at 8000rpm and 2.04kgm of peak torque at 6000rpm. The motor comes mated to a 5-speed gearbox. On the feature list, the FZ 25 comes with a negative LCD instrument cluster, LED daytime running lamp, Bi-functional LED headlight and an engine cut-off switch for safety.

The FZ 25 Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP Edition will be available only for a limited period. Besides that, Yamaha is also planning on introducing Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP Edition liveries for other models too.
