With the TVS Apache RTR range rejigged, the once-flagship RTR 180 might seem a bit lost, but that is not the case. With the launch of the Race Edition, the company has made it relevant again.

Priced at Rs 83,233, ex-showroom, the TVS Apache RTR 180 Race Edition not only gets a new set of graphics on the Pearl White paint and the new 3D TVS logo, it also has front and rear disc brakes as part of the standard equipment.

It’s powered by a 177.4 cc engine that makes 16.4 bhp@8500 rpm and 1.58 kgm@6500 rpm. It does 0-60 kph in 4.96 seconds, and the company claims that is also has the best power-to-weight ratio in its class.

There’s also TVS Racing stickers on the alloys, and if you’re going to use the motorcycle on a racetrack, you’ll appreciate the presence of lap and 0-60 kph timer. The blue-backlit display also has features like service indicator.
