Royal Enfield has launched the Hunter 350 at a starting price of Rs 1.49 lakh for the base variant and Rs 1.68 lakh for the top-end variant (ex-showroom, Chennai). Its sale and delivery are scheduled to begin on August 10, 2022, with bookings already underway.

So far, it is the lightest Royal Enfield made by the brand and will come in two trims — Retro and Metro. The motorcycle gets Rebel Blue, Rebel Red, Rebel Black, Dapper Ash, Dapper White and Dapper Grey colour options. It will feature 17-inch wheels with 110/70 tyres on the front and 140/70 on the rear. The instrument cluster gets a pod-like finish, similar to the Royal Enfield Scram 411.

The Hunter 350 is built on the 350cc J-series platform, combined with a Harris Performance chassis. It bears a fuel tank capacity of 13 litres, a seat height of 800 mm, ground clearance of 150.5 mm and a wheelbase of 1370 mm. The braking duties are carried by a 300-mm disc with a twin-piston floating calliper in front and a 270-mm disc with a single piston floating calliper at the rear. Dual-channel ABS is also available as a standard safety feature.

As for the suspension setup, it gets 41-mm telescopic forks in front with 130 mm of travel, while there is a Twin-tube Emulsion shock absorber with a six-step adjustable preload and 102 mm of travel at the rear. The J-Series 349cc petrol engine, mated to a 5-speed transmission, has a maximum output of 20.2 bhp and a maximum torque of 2.75 kgm. According to claims, it has a mileage of 36.2 kpl.
