Bajaj Auto has announced the commencement of production of the hugely awaited, 400 cc bike. Making multiple appearances since the time it was showcased as Pulsar CS 400 at the 2014 Auto Expo, the bike is yet to be named.

Celebrating fifteen years since the launch of the original Pulsar – which launched in November 2001, went on to become a success story worth writing a book about – Bajaj is looking at making this launch as special, too. Apart from being the most powerful bike in the line-up, the new bike, whose first batch rolled out today, is being made on a production line managed only by female engineers.

The company also confirms its most powerful bike will be launched in mid-December (which is next month), but other details are yet to be announced.

The bike will sit atop the current range of motorcycles that Bajaj produces, including the Pulsars, Avengers, and other smaller-capacity commuters. Being a naked, the bike is expected to be positioned against other similarly large motorcycles like the Mahindra Mojo, the KTM 390 Duke, and the Benelli TNT 25.
