More from Motoring

Made exclusively for the Indian market, special editions of the Norton Dominator and the Commando have been launched in India. Brought by Motoroyale, responsible for the British brand’s presence in the country, there will be 18 units of the Dominator special edition and 19 of the Commando-based motorcycle.

The British brand will take a total of 60 days to produce these limited handcrafted examples once an order is placed. All 37 limited-edition motorcycles will come with the owner’s name engraved. The special edition Dominator is priced at Rs 23.7 lakh while the Commando special edition comes with a slightly smaller price tag of Rs 20.99 lakh.

The Commando limited edition has an all-black finish, Union Jack painted on the fuel tank, and a 961 cc engine that makes 70 bhp and 6.8 kgm. The Dominator special edition also uses the same twin engine, but comes with an aluminium tank and British flag painted on the seat cowl.

Motoroyale’s MD, Ajinkya Firodia said, “Norton comes with a celebrated history filled with glory, stardom, and a huge fan following. The brand has been the symbol of fine British engineering for over a century. Thanks to the vintage style combined with modern engineering, Norton enjoys a cult like following among superbike enthusiasts across the globe. We are extremely proud that a brand with this kind of rich legacy has chosen to partner with Motoroyale and offer Indians exclusively, the limited edition Dominator & Commando. We envision a long JV partnership with Norton, as Motoroyale will soon be manufacturing Norton bikes in India.”
