Dominar (v): to dominate

And dominate, it must, because not only is it the most powerful Bajaj to go on sale, it’s also hugely awaited. The company earlier announced the commencement of its production on November 18, and now it’s confirmed that the Pulsar CS 400 will be realised as the Bajaj Dominar 400.

The bike will be unveiled in its production form on December 15. Likely to boast a sub-Rs 2 lakh price tag, the Bajaj Dominar 400 will be headed to markets abroad as well.

While images aren’t out yet, there’s an evident change on the last set of photos Bajaj had shared: USD forks seem to be replaced by regular units. And while the Dominar will share engine components with the 390 Duke, final figures are expected to be lower. ABS will be available (could be optional), while the gearbox will be a six-speed unit. The muscular styling of the concept as well as the dual-tone alloys have made it to the production vehicle, and, so have the split-seat and split grab handle.

In addition, Bajaj also has another model to the ‘V’ range and the MY2017 Pulsars lined up.
