Only a few months before we race into 2022, and Aprilia India is soon going to launch the 2021 SR 160 later this month. Also, Aprilia will soon start with pre-bookings, and one can book online from its official website. Speaking of this new model, Aprilia hasn’t released any official information, but it’s more likely to be a facelift along with a bunch of new features.

There have been quite a few pictures of the 2021 SR 160 that have been making rounds on social media. We can tell you from those images that the new updated version will feature a new LED headlight with a sportier design up front. For better comfort, the rider and pillion will get new split seats and grab rail. On the tech side of things, it’s likely to get a new digital instrument cluster with Bluetooth compatibility as well. To make things even more sporty, there will be new colour options as well. Oh, and along with the SR 160, the SR 125 will also be launched.

As for the engine, the specifications are more or less going to remain unchanged on both scooters. The SR 160 currently produces 11 bhp and 1.12 kgm, while the SR 125 produces 9 bhp and 1.01 kgm of torque. Now, it’s apparent that there will be a bump in their ex-showroom prices. The SR 125 retails for Rs 94,668 and the SR 160 for Rs 1.08 lakh (all prices ex-Delhi). In contention to the recently launched Yamaha Aerox 155, we’ll have to see what the SR twins have to offer when it’s launched. Do stay tuned for more updates on the SR 160!
